We’re hiring an Compliance & Employee Relations Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and lead the day-to-day heartbeat of HR. You’ll ensure we stay fully compliant across state and federal regulations, oversee payroll and benefits processes, and serve as a trusted partner for employee relations support across all levels of the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure full HR compliance with all applicable employment laws, labor regulations, cannabis-specific requirements, and HR policies
• Oversee I-9 verification, E-Verify, labor law postings, reporting, and audit readiness
• Lead payroll processing reviews to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory adherence
• Provide leadership to the Benefits Administrator and oversee benefits administration and open enrollment processes
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
• Partner with managers on coaching, documentation, and progressive discipline
• Support onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data management, and policy administration
• Maintain accurate HR reporting and collaborate on compliance audits as needed

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in HR compliance, payroll, and employee relations
• Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state employment laws
• Prior experience with HRIS, payroll platforms (Paychex, ADP, or similar), and benefits systems
• Excellent conflict resolution, communication, and organizational skills
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment highly desired
• Human Resources certifications (PHR, SHRM), preferred.
• Experience in cannabis or highly regulated industries strongly preferred
• Must be 21+ and eligible for any required state cannabis employment credentials
• Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance

A Few Things You’ll Need

• Must meet all applicable state requirements to work in a licensed cannabis facility
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to travel occasionally to Mint locations for onsite audits or HR support
