Job Summary

The Mint Dispensary General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the facility, including sales, staff management, inventory control, compliance with state and local regulations, and ensuring a smooth, efficient operation. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will drive the success of the location through excellent operational management and customer service.

  • A Peak Inside Your Day:
    • Oversee the dispensary environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Establish a regular schedule for the retail staff, including team member time off.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and instill the same in others to promote teamwork.
    • Manage through challenging events to keep dispensaries operating above standard.
    • Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
    • Coordinate and partner with the Marketing Department to analyze metrics and recommend future opportunities.
    • Offers insights to facilitate employee performance evaluations.
    • Offer assistance to fellow employees in any role.
    • Create and sustain vendor relationships.
    • Reporting to identify and resolve trends and issues affecting in-store performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the dispensary/cultivation facility, ensuring a high level of operational efficiency and compliance with all cannabis regulations.
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and developing a positive workplace culture.
  • Monitor sales performance, set sales goals, and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, including managing product tracking, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Oversee inventory management, including product sourcing, restocking, and auditing to ensure accurate levels and compliance with state tracking systems (e.g., METRC).
  • Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all operational aspects to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Manage the financial performance of the facility, including budgeting, expense control, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service by ensuring the staff provides knowledgeable, friendly, and compliant service to all customers.
  • Develop marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic, increase sales, and expand customer base.
  • Ensure the facility is properly maintained clean, and adheres to safety and security protocols.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Address any operational challenges, including staffing, inventory, or regulatory concerns, in a timely and professional manner.

    • Train, develop, coach, encourage, and champion all staff members.
    • Manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Mint Cannabis's values and culture.
    • Develop and lead daily and monthly team meetings.
 


What Qualifications Do You Have:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Experience:
    • Customer service: 2 years - preferred
    • Retail Management: 3 year - preferred
    • Retail Cannabis Industry: 3 year  - preferred
    • Cash Handling Experience: 2 year  - preferred 
    • Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
    • Certification or advanced training in cannabis compliance or business operations.
    • Familiarity with METRC and Dutchie Software
