What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a point of contact for general employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and other HR-related topics.
  • Provide payroll assistance, reconcile reports, and create data dashboards for labor.
  • Support the administration, maintenance, and reporting of HRIS data, including regular audits for accuracy.
  • Generate and analyze HR reports to track key metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee education.
  • Manage employment verification requests in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Collaborate on special projects, policy updates, and initiatives that improve the employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and cannabis industry regulations.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information at all times.
  • Support recruiting and onboarding efforts to ensure a smooth new hire experience.
 

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or similar role.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in a multi-state, multi-site organization preferred.
  • Previous experience working with a startup company, with the ability to adapt to regulatory changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing HRIS platforms (iSolved preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain/maintain an Arizona Facility Agent Card.

A Few Things You’ll Need

  • Regular local travel to retail locations within Arizona; occasional out-of-state travel possible.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with occasional exposure to cannabis plant material.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
