Executive/Legal Assistant to In-House Counsel

Pay Range: $50,000 - $55,000
Position Summary:
The Executive/Legal Assistant provides administrative and legal support to Mint Cannabis’s in-house legal team. This role ensures the effective and efficient management of legal and executive responsibilities, including calendar coordination, legal document preparation, research, and communication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, discreet, and experienced in supporting attorneys or executive leadership in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to manage calendars for the General Counsel and legal team, including scheduling and coordinating meetings.
- Responsible for preparing, formatting, and proofreading correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Must be able to review and summarize contracts and assist with maintaining legal documentation.
- Regularly required to assist with management of real estate files, leases, and other company assets.
- Must conduct basic legal research related to cannabis regulations, zoning, and compliance issues.
- Responsible for filing legal documents with courts and government agencies as directed.
- Must be able to communicate on behalf of the legal team with internal departments, external partners, and regulators.
- Assist with confidential projects and other legal administrative tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience as an executive assistant, legal assistant, or paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
- Experience with transactional law, real estate, or regulatory compliance strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required credentials per state law.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Paralegal certification is a plus, but not required.
